Shawn, I saw your story on Oprah a few years back and I haven't been able to forget it..you're on my mind now and again, and I sometimes find myself wondering how you're doing! My heart aches just thinking about how happy you must be to be around your family.

have thought of this young man and his family over the years and today found his site. As a mother my heart goes out to his parents who survived this hell and found their son alive. The strength and love they have shown, and Shawn's own courage, gives other parents who's children are still missing a ray of hope. Thank you Shawn for showing us we can be survivors and turn tragedy into something hopeful as you are truly one of God's miracles. Best to you all.

I don't know why, Shawn, but you popped into my head today. I am the mother of three young girls and your story has truly touched me. I still clearly remember the day that you were found and how I cried with joy for you and your family. Your courage and your faith and your amazing attitude is a real inspiration to so many people! I hope that you are healthy and happy and enjoying your life now. You are a bright and beautiful young man and I am so thankful that God kept you safe and returned you to your loving family.
